Job summary

Johnson Controls in York, PA seeks a Balancer for 2nd shift to set up and operate a dynamic balancing machine, balancing fans across models. You will wire motors, adjust speeds, attach sensors, and capture vibration data to identify imbalance points.

You’ll assemble fans per manuals, document results, and uphold PPE and safety guidelines. Responsibilities include selecting adjustments for motor kits, belts, isolators, and assemblies, while maintaining a safe, productive work environment and

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school, or three to six months related experience and/or training.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Forklift license required; must be able to obtain within three months.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the dynamic balancing machine to locate imbalance in various fan models.
• Position fan in test stand, wire motor to proper voltage and frequency, and adjust balancing as needed.
• Attach sensors to obtain vibration data and measure imbalance in appropriate plane.
• Review dials, meters, or on-screen traces to identify imbalance points and adjust accordingly.
• Assemble fans per assembly manual and document balancing results.
• Report injuries or near misses and comply with PPE and safety rules.
