Job summary

Fire Manufacturing Innovations is seeking a Welder to cut and join metals with precision at our Alabama facility. You will read blueprints, perform MIG/TIG welds, maintain equipment for safety, and inspect welded surfaces for flaws.

The role requires following specifications, aligning components with calipers/rulers, and supporting other departments as needed. The position operates Sunday-Thursday, 9:30pm–6:00am onsite, offering competitive pay with shift differential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a welder or schooling.
• Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves, etc.).
• Attention to detail, time management skills, and a positive attitude.
• High School diploma/GED preferred.
• Professional certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read simple blueprints and drawings.
• Perform MIG, TIG, and other types of welds based on project needs.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
• Test and inspect welded surfaces to detect flaws.
• Always follow specifications and instructions for maximum efficiency.
• Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces.
• Report on damages to machines and equipment.
• Support business needs in current position and other departments as needed.
