Job summary

Tel Staffing is seeking a Welder to join our team in Fairhope, AL. The role involves preparing and repairing components using welding principles in accordance with maintenance manuals and the production schedule.

Essential duties include welding repairs (TIG, MIG, Stick), operating drills and ovens, reading weld prints, and safely handling tools. Candidates should have a HS diploma or equivalent and relevant welding experience, with background and drug-screen requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with four years welding experience, or a two-year welder training plus two years welding experience.
• AWS D17 certified welder or equivalent for various alloys used.
• Must pass a criminal background check and a DOT FAA pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Weld repair components per overhaul manual using TIG, MIG, Stick, Braze Rod, Spot Weld and related methods.
• Operates drill press, grit blast machine, ovens and other equipment to support production.
• Reads travelers and welding prints for direction.
• Repair and restore parts using welding equipment/torches.
• Adhere to safety policies and use PPE; maintain OSHA compliance.
• Move gas cylinders and assist with equipment as needed.
