Job summary

EFC International in St. Elizabeth seeks a reliable Welder/Machine Operator to fabricate and weld metal components using MIG welding. You will set up, calibrate, and operate metalworking machines, inspect parts, and ensure safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include reading engineering blueprints, performing quality checks, recording production data, and maintaining a clean work area. Requires 2+ years of welding/machine operation experience and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years welding and machine operation in fabrication.
  • Proficient in MIG welding and metal fabrication techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Familiar with setup, operation, and troubleshooting of metalworking machinery.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components.
  • Set up and calibrate machines for daily operations; clean and prepare tools.
  • Operate metalworking equipment such as saws, rollers, shears, brakes, drills, and cutters.
  • Inspect finished welds and components; correct defects as needed.
  • Read blueprints and document production data; maintain logs and reports.
