Job summary

United Equipment Accessories (UEA) is seeking a Welder to fabricate and assemble metal components in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will weld using MIG, TIG, or arc techniques and read blueprints to ensure accuracy and quality.

The role requires safe work practices and collaboration with team members to meet production goals. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, welding experience, and the ability to read technical drawings.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; AWS welding certification or technical training preferred.
  • Proven welding experience in manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding and fabrication tasks using MIG, TIG, or other welding techniques.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
  • Prepare and clean metal surfaces for welding
  • Operate welding machines, hand tools, and measuring instruments to ensure precise and high-quality welds
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and safety standards
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring proper function and cleanliness
  • Follow all company safety protocols and participate in regular safety training
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals
  • Assist in other metal fabrication tasks as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

This position ensures strong, precise, and high-quality welds that meet production requirements. The ideal candidate is skilled in reading blueprints, problem-solving, and maintaining a safe and efficient workspace in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Work Environment & Conditions

The Welder works in a production environment with exposure to heat, sparks, and welding fumes. Requires extended periods of standing, bending, and manual labor. Heavy lifting, maneuvering metal components, and handling tools are part of daily tasks. PPE including welding helmets, gloves, fire-resistant clothing, steel-toed footwear, and safety glasses, must be worn in designated areas.
