Job summary

Ohmstede Ltd. is seeking a Welder to fabricate or repair shell and tube heat exchangers and related equipment for the refining and petrochemical process industry. This role requires reading blueprints, applying welding techniques, and ensuring x-ray quality where required.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of related welding experience.
• Knowledge of welding techniques (SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, SAW).
• Reading and interpreting measuring devices and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to plan welds.
• Perform welding on shells, tubes, and components; repair exchanger parts.
• Ensure weld quality meets specifications and, when required, x-ray quality.
• Prepare surfaces, cut shells and tubes, and assemble components.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and operate tools per company rules.
