Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Welder in South Windsor, CT for the 1st shift (6am–2:30pm, M-F). The role involves pipe welding and fitting using GTAW (Tig) and GMAW (Mig), with responsibilities including reading blueprints, measuring layouts, and selecting proper welding methods.

Qualifications

• Reading drawings and welding symbols.
• Reading a tape measure to 1/16”.
• Familiarity with band saws, cutoff wheels, grinders, and weld prep tooling.
• Own standard hand tools.
• 2-3 years welding experience or equivalent training.
• Understand inspection methods and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Weld components using TIG/Mig in various positions.
• Read blueprints and plan layouts.
• Set up welding equipment and select methods per job orders.
• Operate grinders and prep tooling.
• Inspect welded surfaces for flaws and ensure safety.
