Z Modular, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a skilled Welder to fabricate high-quality metal components for modular building systems. You will perform welding operations across MIG, TIG, and arc methods, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet engineering and production standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of welding experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or construction environments.
• Welding certificate preferred.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret weld symbols accurately.
• Skilled in using measuring tools; able to add and subtract fractions.
• Committed to workplace safety and adherence to PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Welds components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Lays out, positions, aligns, and secures parts using measuring tools and fixtures.
• Examines workpieces and verifies conformance to specifications.
• Welds metals including aluminum, stainless steel, and cast iron.
• Clamps, tacks, and grinds parts to achieve configurations.
• Determines appropriate equipment and welding methods from drawings.
• Monitors welding processes to prevent overheating or distortion.
• Operates MIG, TIG, and arc welding systems.
• Reads blueprints and work orders to plan welding operations.
• Develops templates/models from engineering drawings for fabrication.
• Operates metal shaping equipment as needed.
• Promotes safe practices in line with OSHA standards.
