Unknown company in Warren, Ohio is seeking a Welder / Fitter to join our production team. You will organize layouts, tack components, and prepare joints for fabrication, ensuring parts meet exact specifications and complex assemblies are produced to client requirements.

This permanent, full-time role demands at least 4 years’ fabrication and fitting experience, proficiency with GMAW, plasma and oxyfuel cutting, and the ability to read weld symbols and schematics.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of practical fabrication and fitting experience.
• Familiarity with ASME codes B31.1, B31.3, B31.8, and ASME Section Vessel Code is preferred.
• Ability to interpret weld symbols, technical schematics, and project documentation.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Organize layouts, assemble and tack components, and create templates for welding assignments.
• Execute joint preparation via plasma and oxyfuel cutting, with fit-up and tacking using MIG.
• Verify finished workpieces meet exact tolerances and perform surface inspections.
• Use grinders, files, or scrapers to ensure surface quality and finish.
• Maintain production logs, route sheets, and quality documentation.
• Follow safety protocols to promote a zero-accident work environment.
