Job summary

TRAK Group in Fairfield, Ohio is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to fabricate, weld, assemble, and repair structural steel and sheet metal components for custom manufacturing projects. The role requires experience with MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding, reading blueprints, and using fabrication equipment.

The ideal candidate is self-sufficient, safety-conscious, able to take projects from layout through final weld, and committed to quality workmanship in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited welding program or 5+ years welding/fabrication experience.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding processes.
• Ability to obtain AWS and/or ASME welding certifications.
• Strong blueprint reading and welding symbol interpretation.
• Experience operating fabrication and machine shop equipment.
• Ability to fabricate projects independently from layout through final assembly.

Responsibilities

• Welding & fabrication of structural steel and sheet metal using MIG, TIG, and FCAW.
• Set up, fit, and weld parts from engineering drawings; layout from start to finish.
• Operate shop equipment (drills, grinders, lathes) and ensure quality to ISO standards.
• Support production teams and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
