Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Oklahoma is seeking a Welding Technician responsible for safe and efficient operation of welding equipment to produce quality parts on schedule. You will set up and adjust machines, inspect first articles, reading blueprints and drawings to guide fabrication.

The role requires at least 1 year welding experience or 6 months as a Welding C, basic math, and knowledge of safety equipment.

Qualifications

• One year welding experience or minimum six months as a Welding C.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills.
• General knowledge of precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of safe operation of PPE and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate all Welding equipment and fixtures safely and efficiently.
• Set-up and adjust welding machine to achieve quality products.
• Perform first piece and ongoing inspections of parts with precision measuring instruments.
• Conduct daily upkeep and routine maintenance of equipment and area.
• Follow instructions from lead person and supervisors.
• Instruct lesser skilled employees in the welding area.
• Overtime, including weekends, as needed.
