Samuel, Son & Co. is seeking a skilled welder in the United States (Virginia/Lebanon area) to read blueprints, interpret welding specs, and operate various welding processes. You will work with grinders, bandsaws, and other fabricating tools, ensuring weld quality and safety compliance.

The role requires basic math, reading and communication skills, and a willingness to train and collaborate in a team environment. Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED and related experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with trades training or related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as bills of material and blueprints.
• Ability to communicate effectively one-on-one.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
• Operate welding equipment (GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, OAW).
• Operate flame cutting equipment.
• Operate metal shaping machines (brakes, shears).
• Weld components in various positions and assess weld quality with tests.
• Inspect grooves, angles, or gaps using precision tools.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards; train new employees.
