Job summary

Nidec Drives in Lexington, TN is seeking Welder B on 1st shift to join our production team. You will perform MIG and TIG welds on rotor cores and laminations, set up welders, inspect quality, and braze copper components.

The role requires accuracy with measurements and a commitment to safety and housekeeping. The position offers starting rates around $21.20 for production, with a $ sign-on bonus and raises every 3 months up to a top rate of about $24.92 plus a shift premium.

Qualifications

• Welding skills required with MIG and TIG processes.
• Ability to read and write for quality checks and documentation.
• Basic reading of blueprints or work orders preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up welders with correct speeds and feeds and fixture products.
• Inspect welds for quality and ensure proper cleanups after welding.
• Assemble laminations, press and weld rotor cores, and braze copper parts.
• Maintain housekeeping and follow safety practices; assist as needed.
