Job summary

Nidec Drives in Lexington, TN seeks a general machine operator for the 1st shift. You will set up and operate metal forming equipment, read blueprints, adjust settings, and maintain safety and cleanliness on the shop floor.

Starting rates include $24.92 for skilled roles and $21.20 for production, with quarterly raises and benefits from day one, plus 401k and paid holidays/vacation. Training may be provided; high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Apprenticeship or formal training may be required.
• 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates trim presses, brakes, and a variety of metal forming machinery.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and diagrams to select, position and secure machinery.
• Adjusts machine settings to meet specifications and timelines.
• Maintains good housekeeping and observes safety practices in the work area.
• Reports to supervisor or team leader as required.
