Job summary

NIDEC Defense Group is seeking production staff to join our welding team in Tennessee. The role focuses on MIG and TIG welds for rotor cores and lamination components, with brazing required on copper parts. You will operate welders, ensure quality, and support assembly processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Position Summary: Responsible for MIG and TIG welds to rotor cores, lamination rings, and brazing
• Must be able to read and write.

Responsibilities

• Sets welders with correct speeds and feeds and proper product setups
• Inspects the quality of welded material to prevent rework
• Assembles laminations to length
• Presses and welds rotor cores
• Measures coils, cuts to length, and fits rings in jigs for welding
• Grinds and cleans rotor cores after welding
• Brazes copper pole plates and copper conduction rods
• Keeps a clean and safe work area
• Observes required safety practices
• Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Leader
