Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Wave Soldering Operator to assemble PCBs and manage wave-soldering processes on production lines in New York. The role requires precise control of temperature, wave height, and timing to meet specifications.

You will read production schedules, adjust equipment, monitor meters, feed boards, perform preventive maintenance, and inspect soldered boards for quality. This is a full-time role with standard daytime hours and an emphasis on safety and quality

Qualifications

• Experience operating wave-soldering equipment.
• Ability to read production schedules and manuals.
• Ability to lift 20–50 pounds and work with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Read production schedules and operate wave-soldering machine according to specifications.
• Adjust controls to regulate speed, temperature, and wave height.
• Monitor gauges and indicators to ensure conformance to standards.
• Feed or retrieve boards on conveyor system and handle boards carefully.
• Perform machine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
• Inspect finished boards to detect substandard soldering.
