Smith Brothers Tool in Michigan is seeking a Waterjet Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will operate the water jet cutting machine, read blueprints, and ensure precision cuts according to specifications.

The ideal candidate has machining or fabrication experience, can lift heavy materials, stand for long shifts, and troubleshoot equipment issues. This is an in-person, full-time role with day shift, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in machining or fabrication is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent problem-solving and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

Responsibilities

• Operate water jet cutting machine to produce precision parts per specifications.
• Set up, adjust, and maintain machinery for optimal performance.
• Inspect finished products for quality and adjust settings as needed.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints for accurate cuts.
• Perform routine maintenance including cleaning and lubrication.
• Set up waterjet machine, adjust for each job.
• Set stops or guides to specified lengths.
• Operate the machine while monitoring for defects or issues.
• Use measurement tools to ensure accuracy.
