AMI Metals, Inc. is a leading supplier of aircraft quality raw materials to the aerospace sector, with Reliance, Inc. as a parent company. We seek a detail-oriented team member to verify stock, set up saws, cut parts, and ensure tolerances meet customer specs in a safety-focused environment.

Roles involve lifting up to 50 pounds, forklift/overhead crane operation, and participating in TQM initiatives while maintaining housekeeping and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• Reads and understands simple instructions, memos and notes.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and measurements for parts.
• Follows written and oral job instructions precisely.
• Prefers lifting up to 50 pounds and operating basic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Verifies stock to work order requirements (alloy, temper, gauge, size, producer, lot no, grain direction).
• Sets up saw and prepares parts for cutting.
• Cuts and verifies parts are within customer tolerances using micrometer and caliper.
• Marks and labels each part per customer and AMI policy.
• Stamps work orders with QC inspection as required by policy.
• Performs daily and weekly maintenance on saws; keeps area clean.
• Operates forklift and overhead crane as needed.
• Participates in safety and quality initiatives.
