Job summary

POWER SALES & ADVERTISING, INC. is seeking a Receiving Associate in Lenexa, KS, to manage movement of product, maintain accurate inventory, and ensure proper handling of merchandise. The role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and teamwork.

You will operate forklifts and pallet jacks, use WMS/barcode systems, and support timely order fulfillment. Typical schedule is 5:00am-2:00pm, Monday to Friday, with overtime and weekend availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least six months of experience in distribution or manufacturing.
• Ability to operate forklifts and/or pallet jacks or willingness to learn.
• Basic computer skills, including experience with warehouse management systems and barcode scanning equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends in November–January.
• Good communication, attendance and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming shipments of various items, verify against purchase orders, packing lists, and other relevant documentation.
• Inspect received merchandise for damages, defects and discrepancies, promptly reporting any issues to supervisor.
• Sort, label, and organize received items for efficient storage and retrieval within the distribution center.
• Utilize inventory management systems to update stock levels, track items, and maintain accurate records of incoming shipments.
• Inspect and verify products for quality and quantity before placing into inventory.
• Utilize barcode scanning equipment and warehouse management systems to track inventory and fulfill orders.
• Operate equipment, such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and manual pallet jacks, load and unload trucks and to move and organize inventory in the warehouse.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of warehouse processes and procedures.
