Job summary

A&B Distributors in Tyler, TX is seeking a Warehouse Picker to accurately select, stage, and prepare products for customer orders in a fast-paced distribution environment. You will use RF scanning, verify codes and quantities, and build safe pallets for delivery.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, prior warehouse experience preferred, ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly, and the ability to obtain a PIT certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous warehouse, distribution or order-picking experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
• Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures.
• Ability to obtain Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification to safely operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack etc.).
• Basic math and reading skills for order verification.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately pick products according to customer order sheets or RF scanning system.
• Build and stage pallets in a safe, organized manner for delivery routes.
• Verify product codes, quantities, and order accuracy before staging.
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, or hand trucks safely.
• Understands and follows proper procedures for handling damaged products and repackaging.
• Conducts pre-operation inspections of warehouse equipment to ensure safe and proper function.
• Performs quarterly maintenance checks, including monitoring water levels and battery condition on equipment.
• Follow company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Support general warehouse operations including housekeeping tasks.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
