Job summary

DSV - Global Transport and Logistics is seeking a Warehouse Operator for a 12-hour rotating shift at our Chester, VA facility. The role involves label control, yard coordination, and administrative support for outbound operations, with emphasis on accuracy and safety.

Must have Excel experience and be computer-literate. Responsibilities include managing labels, coordinating with yard drivers via Y/WMS, data entry for shipments, and preparing Bills of Lading.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years’ experience working in inventory control or warehousing admin experience.
• English (reading, writing, verbal)

Responsibilities

• Label Control: Prepare, distribute, and reprint all labels for carton/pallet pickers daily, track and document all labels.
• Yard Coordination: Use Y/WMS to communicate outbound pulls and plugs to yard drivers daily, assist with trailer safety checks.
• Administrative Functions: Data entry for shipments, prepare Bills of Lading, schedule LTL pickups, file outbound paperwork.
• Safety/Sanitation/Security: Maintain a clean area, secure seals and documents, follow OSHA and MSDS standards and promote safety.
• OTHER DUTIES: Operate RF scanners, use MS Office, follow policies, adapt to changes, communicate professionally.
