Job summary

AMETEK Hughes-Treitler is seeking a Vacuum Brazing Technician to set up, operate, monitor and maintain vacuum brazing furnaces used in heat exchangers, aerospace components, and precision assemblies.

You will load/unload production hardware, verify temperature profiles, document data, and conduct pre-/post-braze inspections to ensure high quality joints in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in vacuum brazing or related heat treating.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Experience operating industrial furnaces and thermal processing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate vacuum brazing furnaces according to work instructions and specs.
• Load/unload production hardware and fixtures into furnaces.
• Verify programming, temperature profiles, vacuum levels, and cycle parameters.
• Monitor brazing cycles and document process data.
• Perform pre- and post-braze inspections for defects or incomplete joints.
