Job summary

Hickory Chair is seeking a Hardware Assembler to install decorative and functional hardware on upholstered furniture in a full-time, day-shift role. The job requires reading production orders, following specifications, and using hand and pneumatic tools with care to ensure high-quality results.

Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail, good manual dexterity, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a production team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in furniture manufacturing or upholstery is preferred but not required.
• Experience using hand and pneumatic tools is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions and production documentation.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.

Responsibilities

• Install hardware on upholstered furniture according to work orders and quality standards.
• Position and secure hardware components using hand and pneumatic tools, jigs, and fixtures.
• Apply trim such as nails, welt, and upholstery finishing details as required.
• Verify placement, spacing, alignment, and operation of hardware.
• Inspect furniture before and after hardware installation for defects.
• Read production orders and customer specifications to guide work.
