Job summary

EPS Group, Inc. is seeking a field professional to locate and mark underground utilities on project sites in Arizona. You will operate Airvac/vacuum trucks, use locators, and analyze site plans to provide precise utility locations for construction crews.

This role requires a high school diploma and 3 years of line locating experience, with 1–2 years of supervisory duties preferred. CDL A/B is optional, and a valid driver’s license is required. Safety and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of line locating experience preferred.
• 1–2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Understanding of underground utility locating and marking practices.
• Hands-on experience operating Airvac/Vacuum trucks and high‑pressure air tools.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record; CDL A/B preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities using site plans, maps, blueprints, and equipment.
• Safely operate Airvac trucks to expose utilities via potholing.
• Use electromagnetic locators to detect utilities.
• Analyze work sites to identify potential utility locations.
• Review plans and maps to understand utility layouts.
• Mark utility locations with flags or paint for construction crews.
• Record utility locations and create utility drawings/maps from field data.
• Collaborate with construction teams and managers to convey location information.
• Adhere to safety protocols to minimize excavation risks.
• Perform quality checks to ensure marking accuracy.
