Job summary

UtiliQuest, LLC is seeking an Experienced Utility Line Locator to independently mark underground utilities and support safe, efficient project execution. The role involves operating detection equipment, documenting locates, and coordinating with excavators and utility representatives on-site.

The position requires a minimum of three years locating experience, a valid driver's license, and working authorization in the United States. Overtime, travel and after-hours duties may apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or relevant work experience.
• Minimum of three years locating experience.
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company.
• Valid State driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Operate detection equipment to locate and mark all facility types and all ticket types in any area.
• Troubleshoot difficult locates and help in locating high-profile cable lines.
• Performs audits or damage investigations as assigned by supervisor.
• Read utility maps to find underground utilities correctly.
• Document all locates.
• Respond promptly and courteously to excavation notices.
• Communicate well with excavators, utility representatives, and company staff.
• Dig lightly with a shovel when necessary.
• Work overtime, travel, and perform on-call/afterhours responsibilities as needed.
• Perform work in all weather conditions.
