Axis Pipe and Tube LLC in Bryan, TX is seeking a Cut Off Operator to assist with changeovers, set up and splicing on the tube mill. The role operates the mill’s saw, monitors dimensions, and maintains quality.

The position requires light to moderate experience, basic measuring tools knowledge, and PC skills. Company offers a comprehensive benefits package and a safe, manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• One to three months equivalent experience in related field OR proof of training in an area related to the job assignment.
• Reasonable knowledge in hand-held measuring devices, micrometers, measuring tapes, go/no-go gauges, grinding, operation of thickness gauges and depth gauges
• Moderate to Advanced PC Skills in Microsoft Applications, i.e., MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to follow job and safety requirements.
• High frequency welding experience desired.

Responsabilités

• Changeover and set up mills.
• Operate lower end of the mill (Saw), continuously monitor pipe size, ovality, length, straightness, inside flash and quality of product being produced.
• Set up stencil equipment.
• Perform maintenance on mills as required.
• Communicate and work with Mill Operator on a team basis.
• Basic housekeeping in general work area.
• Responsible for completing any assignments given by Supervisor, even those assignments not specifically listed in this job description.
