Seah-Steel-US is seeking a Cut Off Operator for our Houston, TX facility. You will operate cutting machinery, set up equipment, monitor quality and safety, and ensure efficient production during your shift.

The role requires basic math and reading skills, 1 year of pipe manufacturing experience, and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Flexibility for overtime in a manufacturing environment with strict safety standards is essential.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• 1 year of Pipe Manufacturing experience.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and tools.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and cut-off operation is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Flexible schedule with potential overtime.
• Knowledge of crane operation is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Prepare machinery for production by setting up and adjusting equipment.
• Maintain machinery specifications by observing operations and detecting malfunctions.
• Feed tube material into the machine and initiate cutting procedures.
• Check machinery is serviced before start and during shift.
• Assist in repair and replacement of equipment during maintenance.
• Communicate with crew to ensure a quality product.
• Assist in changeovers and mill stops.
• Ensure tube length, cut straightness and product appearance.
• Report material and equipment issues to Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
