Job summary

Rush Truck Centers in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Fabricator to layout, fabricate, fixturing and weld weldments used in new and modified truck and trailer chassis and components. The Fabricator must be able to work accurately from design drawings.

You will perform welding (arc, MIG, TIG), prepare components, maintain BOMs, read work orders, and ensure proper torque settings and vehicle systems knowledge. AWS certification is required, and two years of welding experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Two years' welding and vehicle fabrication experience.
• AWS welding certifications required for work assigned.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Maintain at own expense all hand and small power tools.

Responsibilities

• Weld and fabricate components per drawings.
• Prepare and modify components for current or revised applications.
• Create and update bills of materials; feed back to parts, operations, and engineering.
• Read and understand job orders and schedule work procedures and parts.
• Ensure cost effectiveness and minimize re-work on final products.
