Job summary

JASPER Engines & Transmissions in Indiana is seeking a productive team member for a Transmission POD 764 sub-assembly role. Responsibilities include inspecting pumps, removing bushings with a press, and ensuring gear clearance is accurate using a feeler gauge.

The position runs Monday through Friday, 6:30am–3:00pm with overtime opportunities. A comprehensive benefits package and ongoing on‑the‑job training are provided as part of a climate‑controlled work environment.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual material handling.
• Able to stand or walk for an entire shift (8–10 hours).
• Experience using common hand tools such as hammer, screwdrivers, pliers, and torque wrench.

Responsibilities

• Inspect pump for damage and remove bushings using a press.
• Sand burrs if needed and measure gear clearance with a feeler gauge.
• Assist in the sub-assembly process as part of a transmission POD team.
