Torus in Salt Lake City is hiring a Transformer Manufacturing Technician to fabricate, wind, and assemble critical power transformer sub‑assemblies at the GigaOne facility. You will work across laminations, coil, and core/tank assemblies, operating winding machinery and handling silicon steel parts with precision.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting mechanical blueprints, assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and work instructions.
• Hands-on proficiency with power tools, torque wrenches, crimpers, calipers and micrometers.
• Experience working around heavy machinery, overhead cranes, or high‑voltage components.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate winding machines to wind copper and aluminum conductors per specs.
• Assemble core‑and‑tank structures and process insulation between layers.
• Perform quality checks including turns ratio, resistance, and micrometer measurements.
• Move sub‑assemblies with overhead cranes and maintain 5S compliant workspace.
• Document work travelers and quality logs accurately.
