Job summary

Sunbelt Solomon is seeking a hands-on Teardown Technician to support the rewind transformer teardown process. The role emphasizes precise measurement with calipers, use of hand tools, and safe handling of core materials in a manufacturing environment.

This position requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs. Shifts are Fri–Sun, 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with opportunities to cross-train on setup and teardown.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED preferred.
• Experience with mechanical and transformers preferred.
• OSHA10 certification preferred.
• Material handling equipment experience (forklift, crane, etc.) preferred.
• Proven track record in safety excellence required.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.
• Meet department and production goals set by supervisor.
• Ensure product quality meets company and client expectations.
• Strong work ethic, communication, problem-solving, cooperative attitude, attention to detail, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform teardown of rewind transformers.
• Take precise measurements using calipers and tape measures for rewind process.
• Use a series of hand tools.
• Cut transformer lids.
• Wear protective equipment and maintain safety standards.
• May operate overhead crane or forklift.
• Stand 8-10 hours; repetitive tasks.
• Cross-train on setup and teardown as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
