Job summary

The Disassembler Technician position at Sunbelt Solomon in Decatur, TN involves using hand and power tools to disassemble transformers, while following safety and quality requirements. Hours are Monday–Friday 6:00am–2:30pm, with base pay of $18.00–$19.00 per hour and non-exempt FT status.

You will read work orders, gather parts, disassemble and sort components for reuse or scrap, operate shop equipment safely, and maintain a clean workstation.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED preferred.
• Mechanical and transformer experience preferred.
• OSHA10 certification preferred.
• Proven track record in safety excellence is required.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow work order instructions.
• Gather parts and tools needed for the work order and ensure they are in good condition.
• Disassemble and sort transformer parts for reuse and scrap.
• Utilize shop equipment and tools safely and appropriately.
• Return equipment to proper location after use.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly workstation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
