Job summary

Adecco is seeking a hands-on EHV Core and Coil Assembler in Wisconsin to perform heavy mechanical assembly for transformer components. The role involves using overhead cranes, hydraulic equipment, and forklifts to assemble core laminations, wind coils, and copper connections while following strict safety and quality standards.

You will train new operators and contribute to continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy mechanical assembly and reading blueprints.
• Strong safety mindset and PPE compliance.
• Ability to train and guide new operators.
• Excellent manual dexterity and spatial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Uphold safety protocols and wear PPE.
• Keep work areas clean and organized (5S).
• Collaborate with team leads, engineering, QA, and other functions.
• Follow blueprints and BOMs for precise alignment and assembly of components.
• Land coils into a core using a crane and assemble with hand tools and hydraulics.
• Operate overhead cranes to position large components and land laminations.
• Crimp and insulate copper connections and assemble transformer core components.
• Move parts using forklifts and other industrial vehicles as required.
• Prepare core setup and cap off assembly stages as directed.
• Train new operators and maintain quality standards.
