Job description

A day in the shopYou arrive to a fresh stack of prints and a clear production plan. You study the drawings, note the critical dimensions and tolerances, and map out your setup for both the lathe and the mill. You choose the right cutters and workholding, dial in your setup, touch off carefully, and take a first cut. Throughout the run, you verify dimensions with micrometers, calipers, bore/depth gauges, and dial indicators, making fine adjustments to keep every feature within spec. When a tool shows wear, you swap it proactively. If a machine sounds off, you investigate, perform basic maintenance, and get it back to peak performance.
