Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Michigan is seeking a hands-on Tooling/Fixture Designer to design, fabricate tooling, gages, and fixtures for production applications. You will interpret specifications, set up and operate machine tools to achieve precise results, and collaborate with setup teams to refine designs.

Responsibilities

• Design and fabricate tooling, gages, and fixtures for production applications.
• Continuously monitor tools to ensure efficiency; identify and carry out needed repairs or enhancements.
• Service and repair tooling assemblies—including strip-down, cleaning, lubrication, and rebuild.
• Interpret specifications; set up and operate machine tools to achieve precise results.
• Maintain, fine-tune, and evolve existing and new tooling, gages, and fixtures.
• Own purchasing and quotation tasks while working hands-on in the shop; troubleshoot shoulder-to-shoulder with machine setup and operators to collect feedback and improvement ideas.
• Champion standards compliance and drive continuous improvement across operations.

Along the way, you document your work and surface improvement ideas for the next iteration.

Your Core Contributions
