Job summary

Envases US Aluminum Division in Waco, TX is seeking a precision Tool Room Machinist to maintain and repair high-speed tooling used in our aluminum end manufacturing processes.

You will operate surface grinders, lathes, milling machines and polishing equipment to keep tooling within extremely tight tolerances and document all adjustments in the tooling tracking system. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus hands-on experience and forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient with manual Tool Room machinery and precision tooling.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Experience with micrometers and calipers.
• Willingness to work across all shifts in a 24/7/365 environment.
• Forklift certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of complex tooling components used in shell press and conversion machinery.
• Operate surface grinders, lathes, milling machines, and polishing stations.
• Maintain tolerances to 0.0001 inch.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges, and optical comparators.
• Document measurements and repairs in the tooling tracking system.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality and Maintenance to diagnose tooling failures and perform repairs.
• Support preventative maintenance and adherence to standard work procedures for tooling repair.
• Maintain a clean, safe 5S tool room and handle tools properly.
