Job summary

6 Degrees Search is seeking a Toolmaker to fabricate tooling components, using CNC and manual machines to tight tolerances. The role covers milling, turning, grinding, and assembling tools and fixtures for stamping operations.

As a team player with strong blueprint reading and shop math skills, you will maintain tooling and build new cutting tools, with 3–8 years of recent toolmaking experience preferred. High school diploma or GED required.

Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• 3-8 years recent experience as a Toolmaker.
• Completion of apprenticeship program or trade school with a tool making apprenticeship would be a plus.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Produce tooling items by milling, turning and grinding to tight tolerances using CNC machines as well as manual machines.
• Maintain Production Tooling.
• Build new cutting/forming tools.
• Build assemblies for multi-slide and Four Slide production systems.
