Job summary

Qualifications

• 3-7+ years of mechanical design or tooling design experience.
• Strong proficiency with SolidWorks and design of precision tooling.
• Understanding of mechanical tolerances and precision component design.
• Experience producing manufacturing-ready designs and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Design and modify tooling and mechanical components using SolidWorks
• Adapt existing tooling designs for new customer-specific applications
• Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings
• Apply dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T to drawings
• Design components with manufacturability, fit, function, and cost in mind
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams
• Create and maintain engineering documentation and BOMs
• Troubleshoot and improve existing tooling designs
• Support development of new tooling generations
• Manage multiple design projects to meet timelines
