Job summary

Jobot seeks an experienced CMM Programmer to join our manufacturing team in Akron, delivering precision inspection via PC-DMIS. You will develop robust CMM programs, read complex drawings, and drive quality improvements across production with a collaborative mindset.

With 5+ years in CMM programming and a GD&T focus, you will mentor operators and work closely with quality engineers to ensure first-time pass quality and continuous process optimization. This is a full-time on-site role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a CMM Programmer.
• Proficiency in CMM Programming and PC-DMIS software.
• Solid understanding of GD&T principles.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and CAD data.
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills with clear explanations.
• Proactive, independent worker with team collaboration.
• Degree in a relevant field is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining CMM programs using PC-DMIS to support inspection and manufacturing processes.
• Interpreting engineering drawings, CAD data, and GD&T to create accurate CMM programs.
• Performing first-article, in-process, and final inspections to ensure design compliance.
• Collaborating with manufacturing and quality teams to identify and resolve issues affecting quality or efficiency.
• Training and guiding operators and inspectors on CMM equipment and PC-DMIS usage.
• Documenting inspection results with reports and logs and inputting data into quality database.
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and suggesting process enhancements.
