Job summary

Dynomax Inc. in Wheeling, IL seeks an experienced Tool Maker / Precision Grinder to manufacture custom automation components and tools. You will set up and operate tool room equipment, inspect parts to spec, and support prototyping and repairs on complex assemblies.

Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints with GD&T, maintaining ±0.0001 tolerances, and using a variety of grinders and mills to finish parts. A strong eye for detail and collaboration with engineers is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with GD&T and precision grinding.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances on complex parts.
• Familiarity reading blueprints and specs.
• Experience with manual mills/lathes and surface grinders.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate tool room equipment (milling, grinding, turning).
• Analyze specifications and determine sequences using GD&T.
• Verify dimensions with calipers, micrometers and gauges.
• Perform bench and assembly operations to finish parts.
• Collaborate with engineers on prototyping and repairs.
