Job summary

C&A Tool, a leading precision manufacturer in Northeast Indiana, seeks qualified candidates for tooling and CNC roles. Compensation is up to $32/hr, with a benefits package including Health, Vision, PTO, life and disability insurance, holidays, and tuition reimbursement.

Position focuses on tool making (dies, jigs, fixtures, gauges), CNC operation, and precision inspection. Excellent problem-solving and teamwork are essential; shift is 1st, with potential OT when available.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and able to think outside the box for solutions.
• Tool Maker for dies, jigs, fixtures and gauges from raw stock and purchased items.
• Diagnosing faults and repairing tooling; regrinding DMLS and Lapping plates.

Responsibilities

• Operate Manual and computer-controlled CNC machines (Lathes/Mills/Surface-Blanchard Grinders) to achieve precise dimensions.
• Inspect machined parts and tools using precision metrology instruments to ensure specifications.
• Identify issues with existing tools and develop modifications or improvements.
• Coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime of machine repairs.
