dormakaba seeks a First Shift Tool & Die Maker II in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves reading blueprints, building/modifying tools and dies, and repairing custom shop tools. Base pay is $27–$36/hour with bonuses and comprehensive benefits; overtime may be required.

The candidate will operate machines, perform quality inspections, and train others while maintaining 5S housekeeping and adhering to safety standards. A sign-on bonus of $2,000 is offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in machine shop Tool & Die trade.
• Ability to perform advanced quality inspections.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines, perform advanced quality inspections, troubleshoot equipment.
• Use precision measuring instruments for tool set-up, perform complex tool changes.
• Use hand tools, operate lathes, grinders, milling/boring machines, etc.
• Design fixtures/jigs and templates to use as fabrication work aids.
• Train and develop others, perform daily 5S housekeeping.
