Qualifications

• Experience with turning, milling, drilling, and grinding to precision tolerances.
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring devices.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing concepts (Kaizen, Kanban, SMED, 5S).

Responsibilities

• Perform precision grinding, milling, polishing and other machining to make or repair tool components.
• Fabricate and maintain dies, punches, forms, and other tool components; assemble jigs, fixtures, gauges.
• Assemble manufactured parts into production tooling and fixtures.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints, specifications and verbal instructions.
• Set up and operate machine tools and hand tools; troubleshoot and repair production tools; perform preventive maintenance.
