Job summary

Saint-Gobain is seeking a skilled Tool & Die maker to set up and operate CNC and conventional machines, reading GD&T-friendly blueprints, and CAD drafting with SolidWorks or AutoCAD. You will verify tolerances, create fixtures, and design templates for efficient fabrication.

A strong background in toolmaking and 5+ years of experience are essential. This full-time role is based in the United States, with standard Monday–Friday hours and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Tool and Die maker experience.
• 2+ years of AutoCAD or SolidWorks drafting experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate computer-controlled and mechanical machines to produce tools.
• Read blueprints, sketches, specifications, or CAD/CAM files for tooling.
• Create CAD components using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Verify dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances of work pieces.
• Understand GD&T principles.
• Operate conventional machines, Lathes, Mills, Grinders and CNC equipment.
• Familiar with EDM, Sinker machines and Wire drills.
• File, grind, and adjust parts for proper fit and finish.
• Test tools and dies to meet specifications.
• Design templates and jigs for fabrication processes.
• Single point threads various types.
• Manufacture parts from verbal instructions.
• Design tools to detail drawings.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
