Job summary

Saint-Gobain is seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker in California to join our precision tooling team. You will set up and operate a mix of CNC and conventional equipment, read blueprints, and design components using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.

Expect GD&T expertise and tight tolerance work daily. With 5+ years of die/mold making, you will contribute to high-quality tool production, while overtime and a quarterly bonus accompany base pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
• 5+ years of Tool and Die maker experience is required.
• 2+ years of AutoCAD or SolidWorks drafting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate computer-controlled and mechanical machines to manufacture tools and dies.
• Read blueprints, sketches, specifications, or CAD/CAM files for tooling.
• Create CAD components using SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
• Compute and verify dimensions, sizes, shapes, and tolerances.
• Understand GD&T and apply it in part fabrication.
• Operate Lathes, Mills, Grinders, CNC machines as needed.
• Grind and adjust parts for proper fit, test tools and dies for specifications.
