Qualifications

• 3–5 years of machine shop/toolroom experience.
• Experience with ferrous and non-ferrous materials; cutting oils and grinding compounds.
• Ability to read mechanical blueprints and tolerances.
• Proficiency with micrometers and calipers.
• Experience with CNC programming and precision grinding.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine tools to produce dies and tooling to print specs.
• Design, machine, troubleshoot, and assemble tooling into production dies.
• Perform precision measurements and quality checks on parts and tooling.
• Repair or alter dies and tooling as needed; fabricate replacement parts.
