Job summary

CROWN Cork & Seal USA, Inc., a unit of Crown Holdings, Inc., is seeking a Tool & Die Maker to support high-speed aluminum can production in Sugar Land, Texas. You will perform setup and operation of machine tools, repair dies, and run precision checks, collaborating with the plant team to resolve issues and maintain tooling inventories.

The role requires strong measurement skills, experience with lathes/milling equipment, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Qualifications

• Five-to-ten years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Proficient with micrometers, calipers and precision measurement tools.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine tools (lathes, mills) to machine parts.
• Repair or alter dies and make replacement parts.
• Perform quality checks and ensure conformance to customer specifications.
• Collaborate with operations to troubleshoot production issues and devise solutions.
• Maintain tooling inventories and tool packs.
