Job summary

Yetter Manufacturing in Macomb, IL is seeking a Tool & Die Maker who will design, build, repair, and maintain tools, dies, and fixtures used across production. You will set up manual and CNC equipment, read blueprints, and ensure precision.

The role requires knowledge of CAD and welding, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work first shift with overtime. Join a team focused on quality and safety with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and calculate dimensions and tolerances.
• Experience with CAD and welding required; precision measuring tools.
• Proficient with tool room machinery: lathes, mills, grinders and drills.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust manual and CNC equipment to build and maintain tools and fixtures.
• Fit and assemble parts to make, repair, or modify tools and dies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, models, and specifications to plan machining and fabrication work.
• Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances using calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, and dial indicators.
• Inspect and test completed tools and dies, making adjustments to ensure parts meet specifications.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and recommend solutions.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs to keep tools, dies, and equipment in good working condition.
• Manage raw material inventory and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
