Job summary

Phoenix Stamping Group, LLC is seeking a skilled machinist to maintain and repair dies, punches, tool steel, and fixtures for our metal stamping operations in Fort Worth, Texas. The role supports reliable, repeatable production on the 1st shift and collaborates with engineering to develop new tools and fixtures.

The candidate should have 3+ years of machinist experience, the ability to read blueprints, and a strong safety focus. Draw die experience is required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of verifiable machinist experience and/or a Technical Diploma.
  • Competence with standard shop math.
  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Capability to perform basic equipment maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of CNC programming and operation is a plus.
  • Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
  • Sound judgment for administrative/procedural decisions and effective teamwork skills.
  • Must have draw die experience.

  • Set up and operate standard shop equipment: milling machines, lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other machine tools under general supervision.

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Adhere to OSHA regulations and internal safety protocols at all times.

Job description

A day in this role


On our 1st shift (6:30AM–3:00PM), you’ll step onto the floor ready to keep production moving. You begin by inspecting tooling pulled from the presses, gauging wear, and deciding the best path to restore performance. With careful measurements in hand, you’ll head to the shop to set up a milling machine, lathe, drill press, or grinder, executing precise repairs. Between jobs, you’ll partner with engineering to craft new tools and fixtures for upcoming parts, and you’ll keep a sharp eye on safety, following OSHA and our internal standards at every turn.

Own the minor repair and maintenance of dies, punches, tool steel, and fixtures to support reliable, repeatable metal stamping operations.


What you'll tackle
