Job summary

U.S. Fleet Forces Command is seeking a professional engineer capable of advancing precise time and time interval (PTTI) systems. The role includes developing and enhancing time transfer operations, analyzing performance, and supporting Master Clock activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering foundation, experience with PTTI, and proven ability to communicate across national and international timekeeping communities. Security clearances and DoD prerequisites are anticipated.

Qualifications

• Professional engineering degree required or registration as Engineer Intern/EIT or PE, with ABET accreditation or equivalent coursework.
• Experience with time and time interval (PTTI) systems is expected.
• Strong analytical and communication skills for national/international timekeeping communities.

Responsibilities

• Implement time and time interval systems policies and procedures.
• Troubleshoot unique and complex electronic systems.
• Communicate orally and in writing with the national and international timekeeping community.
• Perform statistical algorithms applied to frequency standards and time scale.
• Develop theoretical models or hardware where experimental data is lacking.
